Tim is a technical and practical specialist in hydro-thermogeology, blending a mathematical/scientific approach with real world experience.  Tim is the Managing Director of B. A. Hydro Solutions Limited and supports the department managers on a day to day basis.  Tim sits on various industry working groups and Councils, advises many UK and international companies, and even countries, on their water resource and renewables policies, as well as supporting community groups and charitable organisations.

With a BSc in Geology and MSc in Hydrogeology, Tim worked for several industry leading consultancies and the Environment Agency before setting up and running the business nearly 23 years ago.  Tim has a wealth of experience and is still full of ideas and drive to advance the industry.  When not working (or in the R&D lab), you’ll find Tim with his family, walking or paddle boarding.

Rich Baker graduated from Cardiff University in 2001 with an honours degree in Geology and has been in the hydrogeological, geotechnical, and drilling industry ever since, becoming a co-owner of B. A. Hydro Solutions Limited in 2008.  He has expertise with a wealth of experiences in many different fields of the drilling and hydrogeology industry, helping B. A. Hydro Solutions Limited deliver first class specialist services to its wide-ranging portfolio of clients.

His current role is as Site Services Manger, which sees him travelling across the country, managing drillers, drill projects, and undertaking a wide range of on-site work some of which include: Thermal Response Testing (TRT), borehole pump testing, ROV, CCTV and Water Feature Surveys, UKAS water sampling, and on-site assessments.

When he is not working and staying away, he loves to be at home in the Cotswolds, where on a sunny day he can be found chancing his luck on a lake side trying to catch a big fish! On other occasions you may also see him rummaging around in the rough on a golf course attempting to have a round golf.

Jane’s roles have been many and varied in the years she has been with BAHS and is currently Project Managing with a “who knows what tomorrow may bring?” approach.  Her qualifications were earned back when O’Levels were the norm and the experience gained over the decades continues to serve her well.

When not at work, Jane can usually be found with one or more rescue dogs in tow, fundraising or baking.

Patrycja holds a degree in Chemistry and a Master’s in Biological Chemistry, with a solid background in environmental laboratory work. As Laboratory Manager, she oversees operations to ensure all results are accurately analysed and delivered on time.

Outside of work, Patrycja enjoys designing resilient, wildlife-friendly gardens and contributes to local initiatives that transform unused spaces into community green areas.

Jen has a Masters degree in Hydrogeology and has a background working in the water industry.  At BAHS she specialises in groundwater assessments and licence applications.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with her family.

Norman has a Masters degree in Hydrogeology and has a background working in the water industry.  At BAHS he specialises in site work, groundwater monitoring, geophysics and drilling supervision.

Outside of work, when Norman is not occupied with the latest DIY project, he’s generally to be found swimming in the nearest water body.

Matt has spent his career in hydrogeology and water resources. He holds an MSc in Environmental Water Management from Cranfield University and an MSc in Hydrogeology and Water Management from Newcastle University. He is a Chartered Geologist. Before joining BAHS, he worked for almost 20 years at the Environment Agency, specialising in groundwater model use.

At BAHS Matt mainly covers water resources and licensing work, he enjoys a challenge- the more unusual, the better!

He is kept busy outside work by his family, dog, cat, garden, DIY and thousands of bees.

A Bristol graduate with a BSc in Environmental Geoscience. Following on from an internship in summer 2024, he is now working with BAHS as a graduate geologist and a trainee thermo-geologist.

Outside of work you may catch Joel running somewhere, travelling, or perhaps in the mountains- equipped of course with a map and compass.

Josie graduated with a BSc in Environmental Geoscience and is now working at BAHS as a laboratory technician. In her current role she conducts chemical, physical and microbiological analysis on water samples for our clients.

Outside of work Josie enjoys a variety of creative and outdoor hobbies including pottery, painting, baking, kayaking and camping.

Nathan has a Masters degree in Microbiology, and 7 years experience in UKAS accredited water testing labs. At BAHS he serves as a laboratory technician.

Outside of work, he spends most of his time looking after his child – but when he gets a minute, enjoys competitive board games, fantasy/sci-fi books and plotting world domination.

Sana graduated with BSc Natural Sciences (Chemistry) from The Open University and joined BAHS as water quality laboratory technician shortly after to carry out physical, chemical, and microbiological analysis.

When off work, Sana enjoys long walks with her Staffy and exploring the local countryside.
